valentines day

I love love love Valentines day. 

I promised myself I would send out Christmas cards this year, but that never happened... so I decided on Valentines day cards <3 Which I think I love even better! We did a last minute (of course) mini valentines photo session at Kinderland.. luckily Scarlett is so cute because the photogragher had all these cute props but they are all cut out in every picture.. ummm... helloooo?! I guess thats what you get for being a procrastinator and not setting up a real photo shoot. Might as well add to my procrastinator-ness and add that I also went and picked out an outfit for Scarlett on the way to get her pictures done.. ya her pants are a little big.. You live & you learn, for next year.. Oh geeez I hope! Anyways, the pictures were just supposed to be of Scarlett, but the photographer told me to get in some with her. I wish Tony was there to get in on them too, but he was sleeping, so he didn't make it on the card.. Next year he will.. and all of our clothes will fit well.. and the background will not look like I am selling Scarlett for 25 cents... As if this photoshoot couldnt get any worse, Scarlett suddenly needed a nap conveniently when it was time to get her picture taken, so to try and get her to smile we had to sing her Happy Birthday over and over... and over.. and then she smiled this big.....

Thankfully our card is still pretty cute.. but I do promise to be more prepared next year.

This year for Scarletts valentines we did glitter noodle necklaces & decided to add something for the boys, since most of her cousins are boys.. so we added some bugs too. They turned out pretty cute. 

Since were on the topic of love... Can I just talk about how much I love Scarlett. My heart is so filled with love for her that I think it might burst. I have more fun and laugh harder with her than anyone else.. sorry Tony.. you come right in second <3 I have no idea how I got so lucky to have such a little angel, but I am so beyond thankful. Thankyou.Thankyou.Thankyou. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

not even sure what to call this one..

Tonight Scarlett really tested my patience. I seriously had to call my husband at work to remind me how cute she is just so I didn't feed her to our dog or lock myself in the closet. No really though, it took me three hours to get her to finally get to sleep. In those three hours we.... read a million books.. sang happy birthday 25 times.. scratched her arm and her back.. sang baa baa black sheep 15 times.. & then she finally decided she was so over going to bed that she left the room and wandered downstairs. I was so over it by then too that I joined her and we ate four chocolate chip pumpkin muffins together. By then we were both really happy again and ready to try this bedtime thing one more time. Well she's finally sleeping and I finally have a little free time to finally blog. 

Hmmm... lets see.. well I just celebrated my 25th birthday.. I'm just about 20 weeks pregnant.. Im already feeling huge.. Im already obsessed with this season of the bachelor (judge away haha).. Im looking forward to Valentines day <3.. I would kill for a piece of pizza right now..... Why on earth am I   writing all of this pointless stuff.... Well probably because I'm too lazy to actually update my blog on the last four months I've missed and I might be a little tired.. (But seriously I'd kill for some pizza if you're reading this Tony)

On to more interesting things.... Whats new in Scarletts life... Well she is going to have a little sister.. which is the most wonderful thing in the world in my opinion. Scarlett is obsessed with anything princess, she changes into a different princess dress about 20 times a day. She loves to brush and style my hair. Like she will sit there and do it for hours... 

We have been having lots and lots of park days taking full advantage of this amazing weather. We are pretty much there everyday and we always meet our friends Carmela and her little boy Noah there. We have so much fun with them!....
The other day we were at the park way past Scarletts nap time and she saw a little birthday party going on... Well Scarletts love for birthdays mixed with her neeeeeed to take a nap did not go over so well... "PARTY!"... "PARTY!"..."PARTY!" was all everyone around us heard her SCREAMING! I rushed her to the car and called my husband in a panic saying "We need an emergency birthday party!" We live about two minutes away from the park so I was expecting to come home to him standing there empty handed.. but to mine and Scarletts surprise we came home to the best dang fake birthday party ever! 

Yes there is even a teeny tiny lit candle there in the middle of those bananas and chocolate.

October

Back in October....

we took a little trip to Denver

We fell in love with all the old building & parks & found our favorite breakfast spot, Jelly. OMG they had the best donuts ever!! I ate about 80. Seriously. My brother also lives there so we got to spend some time with him which was so nice :) 

We ended up being in Denver the same time as our friends so we met them at the zoo. Scarlett has more fun with their kids then anyone else. They are all so cute together. We rented a little jeep to push them in & bought some popcorn & they were all loving life. The zoo had a carousel, Scarletts favorite thing in the world & a train. They also let you feed the birds, I thought Scarlett was gonna be terrified but she loved it. She even got a kiss in.

We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary.. Heres my amazing gift my husband made me. He's a keeper. 

We also celebrated Halloween... Scarlett was Cinderella (I was her mouse.. so she also had my mouse ears on :) & had the best time trick or treating with Samantha & Sebastian.

Lots has been going on since Ive updated my blog.. which has been a while. So I'm gonna dig deep into my mommy brain to remember everything.. Tony & I have known for a while we don't want to be in Vegas much longer, so we've decided to start our search for a new place to live. We have just been picking pretty random places we've always wanted to go or that seem ideal for raising a family & we're going to check them all out until one seems perfect for us. In August we went to North Carolina....

We went to Carrowinds amusement park which had a huge water park. We had so much fun! Warning to anyone who is planning on going there, skip the dinosaur exhibit... BORING! 

 We found the cutest park & made some friends there.

 A few days before North Carolina we met up with Tonys family in California to go to Disneyland. Im sad to say I dont think we will be going back for a while. Scarlett was a total monster! She does not do well with huge crowds of people. She takes after her dad because he hates big crowds. But she loved seeing her cousin Xave. She had so much fun with him! They were the cutest together!

 Our last night there, Tonys parents watched all the kids so we could all go enjoy Disneyland for a few hours. We had SO much fun! We went on the last ride at 11:59 & we were one of the last ones there. I loved it!

Fall is here. & we're excited! Today really felt like fall, it was pretty chilly out! Scarlett was in the halloween spirit this morning & used her witch fingers to eat her breakfast.

< --- This face! This girl was killing me today. I don't think i've ever laughed so hard. First she found the chocolate chips in the pantry. She was super sneaky about it though. I had no idea, she kept sneaking back in to get more, but then we cought her & this was her face.

Today felt like a baking kind of day, so we made our favorite chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Scarlett was such a good little helper.

Bed time came & I forgot to bring Scarletts water up to bed.. so I told her to get in bed & mommy will be right back. I was expecting her to be playing or following behind me down the stairs, but this is what I came back to <3

Here are a few more things that had me cracking up today.

"Hey mom! it's a bug!"... STOMP! "got it" :) 

...She goes back & forth between calling me mommy & mom. Hearing a little babe say mom sounds so funny to me. 

She grabbed her purse & said byyyeeee! Blew lots of kisses.. I told her I was sad she was leaving... so in her sympathetic voice she said "sad?" & she gave me a kiss & then said "hug" & gave me a bunch of long hugs & a bunch of kisses.. but only on my cheek, because she's an adult, of course. 

I looked in her purse & she had her cell phone in there. Im not sure why but it made me cRaCk UP!

Scarlett is soo much fun & soooo full of life & spunk. But that also means a lot of energy & a dash of stubbornness. So some days Tony & I are worn out! The other day I went to a girlfriends baby shower & I left Scarlett home with daddy since it was around her nap time. I called Tony to check on them & he answered in a panic saying "I can't talk right now! She's a monster! I don't know how you do this! Gotta go!" Is it terrible that it was music to my ears to hear my husband say I don't know how you do this?! It makes me feel like a little superhero ha.
